No, permanent jewelry should never hurt. The spark that is generated during the welding process is not of high temperature, so it should never hurt.
Yes, it can easily be removed by cutting at the weld site. You can use a finger nail clipper or scissors. Be sure to hold on to your chain so that it can be re-welded at another time.
We provide chains of 14k Gold Filled, or 0.925 Sterling Silver which means your chains should last for years. As with any piece, lifestyle activities and care of your jewelry will affect the life of your jewelry.
Sterling silver is a beautiful, timeless metal but can tarnish over time. It cleans up easily with gentle soap or a polishing cloth!
Note: Sterling silver can turn black in hot tub chemicals. If you are a frequent hot tub user, we recommend adding a clasp or choosing gold filled.
Live your life! Your permanent jewelry is safe in the shower, lake, pool, and ocean.
Wearing boots? You can temporarily remove your permanent anklet by clipping the jump ring with endless nail clippers. Save your chain, and bring it back to us to be re-welded when you're ready!
